We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented HR Generalist to support one of our valued clients. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in their work, and has experience managing a broad range of HR functions while supporting a positive and professional workplace environment.
What We Offer
- Salary: $35.71/hour or $65,000 annually
- Weekly pay basis
- Full Time Hours
- Work Arrangement: Hybrid initially, with a planned transition to full-time in-office work once the office space is established.
- Equipment Provided: Laptop and phone
- Contract: 1-year term with potential for permanent placement
What You’ll Do
- Act as the primary point of contact for managers and employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and day-to-day inquiries while maintaining strict confidentiality
- Escalate complex or sensitive HR matters to senior HR leadership as appropriate
- Collaborate with management to identify hiring needs, including defining job requirements, responsibilities, and candidate qualifications
- Manage full-cycle recruitment processes, including job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interviews, selection, reference checks, and onboarding
- Support offer development and participate in offer discussions and negotiations with candidates
- Prepare and review offer letters and onboarding documentation, ensuring accuracy and timely system access setup for new hires
- Facilitate employee onboarding and orientation sessions to ensure a positive and informed start
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback trends to inform retention and engagement strategies
- Assist in the development, implementation, and interpretation of HR policies, programs, and procedures
- Lead or support workplace investigations related to employee concerns, including conflict resolution and harassment matters
- Support Joint Occupational Health and Safety (JOHS) initiatives and promote a safe workplace culture
- Identify gaps in HR processes and recommend continuous improvements
- Provide ongoing support for HR projects and initiatives, along with other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of progressive HR experience
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal)
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and ability to work independently
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and motivation
- Clear criminal record check
- Valid authorization to work in Canada
