One of Drakes trusted clients is looking for a Class 3 Driver to come on a temporary contract!
Position Overview
A Class 3 Driver is responsible for operating tandem-axle commercial vehicles to transport materials, equipment, or goods safely and efficiently. This role requires strong driving skills, attention to safety, and the ability to perform physical tasks such as loading and unloading. Drivers must comply with provincial regulations, company policies, and all transportation safety standards.
Key Responsibilities

Vehicle Operation — Operate Class 3 commercial trucks (tandem axle, dump trucks, delivery trucks, etc.) in a safe and professional manner.

Load Handling — Secure, load, and unload materials using proper lifting techniques and equipment.

Route Management — Follow assigned routes, schedules, and delivery instructions while adapting to road or weather conditions.

Safety Compliance — Conduct daily pre‑trip, en‑route, and post‑trip inspections; report defects or maintenance needs.

Documentation — Maintain accurate logs, delivery records, inspection reports, and other required documentation.

Customer Interaction — Communicate professionally with clients, site personnel, and dispatch.

Equipment Care — Keep vehicles clean, fueled, and in good working condition.
Qualifications

Class 3 License with clean driver’s abstract.

Experience operating commercial trucks (1–3 years preferred).

Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and perform physical labour.

Strong understanding of NS road regulations and commercial driving laws.

Reliable, punctual, and safety‑focused.

Experience with air brakes (Class 3 typically requires Air Brake Endorsement).
