We’re hiring a Senior Technician in New Brunswick, supporting one of Atlantic Canada’s largest and fastest-growing independent car wash brands. Our client focuses on delivering clean, efficient, and reliable car wash experiences.
The Role: Senior Technician
The Senior Technician will be responsible for the repairs and maintenance across our client’s car wash locations. This role will require collaboration with team members and external contractors. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of car wash equipment, conducting preventative maintenance, and providing training to the team.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Repairs & Troubleshooting
- Perform on-site repairs, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and plumbing systems at car wash locations.
- Complete installations, testing, and commissioning of new equipment.
- Travel as required throughout New Brunswick and Atlantic Canada for major repairs and special projects.
- Prioritize repairs to minimize downtime and maintain efficient operations.
2. Preventative Maintenance
- Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance inspections and servicing.
- Inspect, test, adjust, lubricate, and replace components to maximize equipment performance and reliability.
- Identify potential issues before failures occur and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
- Monitor and manage inventory of maintenance parts and supplies.
3. Collaboration & Team Development
- Work closely with contractors on repairs, installations, and facility improvement projects.
- Support, train, and mentor team members on maintenance, repair, and safety procedures.
- Share technical knowledge, assist with complex troubleshooting, and promote a positive, safety focused team environment.
4. Professional Communication
- Communicate effectively with customers, team members, contractors, and suppliers.
- Provide updates on equipment status, repairs, and maintenance needs.
- Accurately document work performed and escalate significant operational concerns when required.
- Represent the company professionally at all company locations and customer-facing sites.
What You'll Bring
- Minimum 10 Years experience in car wash maintenance and repair.
- Previous experience in car wash equipment installation.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills including plumbing and electrical.
- Previous experience as an electrician, plumber, or millwright is an asset
- Knowledge of pumps, compressors, solenoids, injectors, electric breakers, airline valves fluids, waterflow, and pressure
- Strong communication, team-focused attitude with exceptional problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail.
- Must have a valid class 5 license and be willing to complete a Driver’s abstract.
Work Schedule & On-Call Responsibilities
- Regular schedule is Monday to Friday, daytime hours, with flexibility required to support operational needs.
- On-call for emergency operational issues; approved vacation periods are exempt from on-call coverage.
