Job Title: Designer / Estimator – Residential
Location: Cornwall, Ontario

Salary: $25.00 – $32.00 per hour

Why This Role
For years, our client has designed homes and projects within the Cornwall region through 3rd party partners. With a large library of completed house plans and a steady flow of clients, they are now growing their designs into its own standalone design company and are looking for a Residential Drafter / Estimator to make this project come to life!
This is an exciting opportunity for someone to come in at the ground level and support with:
- Designing residential homes, additions and renovations in SoftPlan, from first concept through detailed construction and permit drawings
- Site visits and on-site measurements to turn real conditions into accurate plans
- Working directly with homeowners, contractors, engineers and our retail teams
- Producing material lists, estimates and project documentation, so clients get both a design and a clear picture of what it will take to build
- Keeping our drawings and Ontario Building Code knowledge current
What You’ll Bring
- Strong residential drafting experience, ideally in SoftPlan
- Comfort with permit-ready drawings and Ontario Building Code requirements
- Estimating or material take-off experience is a strong plus
- Someone who's comfortable dealing directly with clients and trades, not just at the screen
- BCIN qualification is a plus but not required. Training can be provided.
