Drake International Tillsonburg is actively recruiting a Welder Fitter/MIG. Our client a custom fabrication shop that has been in business for over 40 years! They are looking for a minimum of 2 years hands on welding/fitting experience and a great attitude!
What we offer:
- Shift: Mondays to Thursdays – 3:30 pm – 2 am – Overtime available!
- $28.00-$32.00 an hour depending on Experience.
- 10% Shift premium

What you will be doing:
- Weld(tack)w/Wire machines, Plasma and Gas cut, Plate Bevels. Using 5”and7” Grinders. Replacing roll of Wire 33 to 44lbs, lifting steel up to 40lbs (crane for heavier jobs)
- Ensuring all parts comply with the blueprint specifications and quality standards. Parts that are damaged will be segregated and quality assurance notified.
- You will be welding, fitting, perform tacking and finish assigned orders
- Work from complex drawings; perform layouts, an assembly of intricate fabrications and parts
- Ensuring all parts are prefabricated, fit-up checks, complete ITP reports
- Ability to operate torch cutting, grinding equipment, operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment
- Final fit/polish of product, proper inspection of all weldments and fabricated parts as required
Who you are:
- At least 2 years of experience plus must be certified as this is a Certified Shop
- MIG is a must and candidate must have experience with Fitting large projects
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational, time management skills
