This role is ideal for a professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, solving customer inquiries, scheduling, and administrative challenges, and working within a transportation and logistics setting.
What you'll do
- Admin related duties
- Customer Services – Communicating over calls and emails
- Coordinate and schedule outbound shipments
- Communicate with service centers and shippers to obtain missing paperwork or freight information.
- Work with internal departments to resolve shipping issues and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor daily operational reports.
- Enter shipment data into the Transportation Management System (TMS).
- Request documentation from carriers to resolve freight claims or letters of denial.
- Coordinate freight disposition with shippers.
- Answer incoming calls from shippers and carriers.
- Contact customers to discuss and resolve on-hand freight issues.
- Generate operational and administrative reports.
- Complete all required shipping and administrative documentation accurately
What You’ll Bring
- 6 months to 1 year of experience in a similar Customer service and administrative role
- Strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Previous customer service experience with strong communication skills.
- Experience in the transportation or logistics industry is considered an asset.
- Must be able to provide a clean criminal background check.
