Snowplow Operator (AZ/DZ)
Location: Timmins, Ontario
Pay Rate: $25–$26 per hour
Hours: Guaranteed pay per week (with potential for 60–80 hours during peak season)

We have an excellent opportunity for new AZ/DZ drivers looking to kickstart their career in Northern Ontario!
As a Snowplow Operator, you will be responsible for snow and ice removal on municipal roads and regional highways. This role requires schedule flexibility, especially during peak winter weather conditions.
What We Offer:
- Competitive pay: $25–$26 per hour
- Guaranteed stand-by pay.
- Opportunity to work 60–80 hours per week during peak winter operations
- Bi-weekly pay
- Travel allowance for selected worksites (based on distance from residence)
- Paid training provided (no prior snowplow experience required)
What You Will Do:
- Perform daily commercial vehicle inspections and complete required safety documentation
- Monitor vehicle condition and report major/minor defects to Safety or Supervisor
- Comply with Ministry of Transportation hours-of-service regulations
- Operate snowplow and salt trucks to remove snow and ice from assigned roads and highways
- Ensure roads are safe and adequately cleared during winter weather events
- Perform snow shoveling, basic grounds maintenance, and other road/facility maintenance duties as assigned
- Conduct routine equipment maintenance (fueling, greasing, fluid checks, minor repairs, etc.)
- Report on all equipment-related incidents or operational concerns to Supervisors
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid AZ or DZ License
- Clean CVOR and Driver’s Abstract
- No prior snowplow experience required – training provided
- Flexible availability (AM, PM, overnight shifts)
- Availability for weekends and holidays
- Must successfully complete a drug test
