Operations Manager - Agriculture

Our client is seeking an Operations Manager for their large operation. This is a permanent direct hire position.

The Operations Manager will oversee the day to day operations of the very large diverse site. This role involves managing resources and leading the team to achieve operational goals. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in farm management, leadership skills and a commitment to sustainable farming practices.

What you’ll be doing:

Plan, organize and oversee all operations including planting, harvesting and livestock management.
Manage farm resources including equipment, supplies and labour.
Oversee inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to procure necessary inputs.
Assist in budgeting and financial planning for farm operations.
Monitor expenses and manage cost control measures.
Implement sustainable farming practices to enhance soil health, water management and biodiversity.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem solving and decision making abilities.

Who you are:

Previous supervisory experience or leadership experience in Agriculture sector.
Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation in Ontario.
