Millwrights / Industrial Mechanics – Multiple openings

Calling all Millwrights in the Edmonton area!

Drake International has some exciting new opportunities with an established and credible Industrial maintenance client in Edmonton.

This organization is looking for Millwrights who have previous experience working with heavy industrial equipment and currently hold a red seal or millwright certificate.

What You Do:
Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions, set up, install, maintain, repair, fabricate parts, and replace machinery and mechanical components.
Experience working in a production environment and material handling equipment considered an asset
Experience in assisting with troubleshooting of production processes and systems preferred
Coach and instruct apprentices
Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
Assembling machinery and equipment (prior to installation)
Operate hoisting and lifting equipment

Who You Are:
Minimum 5+ years of experience working as a Millwright
Experience with conveyors, electrical and electronic controls, hydraulic system, pneumatic system, pumps and compressors, tool grinders, welding equipment, and hand tools
Excellent communication skills and teamwork are essential to successful completion of projects
Strong mechanical aptitude is crucial to the success of the team
Ability to work with written instructions and follow plans with minimal supervision
CSA approved steel toed boots are required
Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Red Seal Endorsement
Must be able to successfully pass a background check
Electrical background considered an asset
