We're seeking a dynamic Technical Support - Level 2 to join our client’s team in the Greater Toronto Area. As Technical Support, you'll play an important role in providing consistent support via phone and email as per established processes, triaging inquiries, and identifying and escalating issues to the appropriate stakeholders for resolution.
What We Offer:
- Salary: CAD $25-$26 per hr.
- Job Type/Shift: Contract, February 1st to July 31st, 2025.
- On-site, GTA – Remote work is not an option.
What You'll Do:
- Provide consistent phone and email responses to public inquiries based on established processes, FAQs, and online tools.
- Ensure the team is creating, tracking, monitoring, distributing, and escalating tickets to the appropriate business owners.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose software and hardware-related issues on a day-to-day basis.
- Meet daily production deadlines as assigned by the Field IT Project Coordinators.
- Communicate with specific internal teams and technical support staff to resolve technical issues encountered in day-to-day work.
- Conduct maintenance and installation of network systems including all hardware, cabling, and telecommunications.
- Maintain work areas, hardware storage area, server room data center, lab area, and staff work area to be clean and orderly.
- Perform testing and evaluation of current and future software applications, as assigned. Test new software and hardware for compatibility with current standards and equipment.
- Provide updates and reports to supervisor and internal team members on the status of work, providing basic information on the production of configuration benchwork. Answer basic questions and document configuration benchwork progress. Escalate issues/problems to the appropriate resource with level of urgency, if unable to resolve.
- Maintain the inventory database, adding new inventory, updating old records, and tracking overdue inventory. Handle requests for use of inventory and enter these appropriately into the database. Handle requests for sign-out and sign-in of inventory and enter these into the database appropriately. Follow up on overdue inventory as listed in the database and track it down accordingly. Keep inventory in a logical and orderly fashion.
What We're Looking For:
- Knowledge of all Microsoft software products, imaging software, PC desktop and laptop/computer hardware, network cabling, and telecommunications applications to perform hardware/software installation and maintenance duties.
- Knowledge of installation techniques and methods for hardware and software, including operating systems, non-standard software and hardware and emerging technology to perform installation services and troubleshoot problems with computer hardware/software/peripherals and PDAs.
- Requires interpersonal and communications skills to interact effectively with the Field IT team and co-workers in performing duties.
- Requires knowledge and awareness of new trends and technologies in the systems industry to test new products for compatibility with current standards.
- High attention to detail; proven track record of delivering quality work based on precision workmanship.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Able to lift up to 45 lbs.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
