We are looking for a Packer to join a busy manufacturing company in Cornwall, Ontario.

Applicants must be proficient in using and reading a measuring tape accurately. This will be tested prior to submission and then again on-site.

What We Offer:

$17.75 per hour with increase at 6 months to $18.65 per hour - $1.50 per hour premium for nights.
Day shift – Continental Shift Pattern 7.00am – 7.00pm – work every other weekend.
Night shift - Continental Shift Pattern 7.00pm - 7.00am - work every other weekend.

What You'll Do:

Responsible for inspecting and packaging finished goods within established standards of accuracy and efficiency.
Assemble and label cartons.
Complete all relevant shift reports including for rework tasks.
Consistently produce less than 1% of non-conforming product.
Assist operator with set-ups, order changes, roll changes, clearing jams, etc. as required.
Monitor running conditions on a regular basis and reports issues to operator.
Store material/supplies in proper location.
Perform rework as assigned.
Report to Supervisor for reassignment to another work area/machine when their machine down for repairs or lack of work.
Able to communicate with co-workers and management
Able to take direction from Supervisors, and Lead Hands.

What We're Looking For:

Education and training recommended for the position.
Grade 12 Diploma or 2 years relevant experience.
Related experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset.
Ability to read a measuring tape accurately.
Must be able to pass measurement test.
